Two lists were once again in competition, one directed by the outgoing mayor Roger Gardes and the other by Marie-Claude Caminada, whereas it was Jocelyn Tres who in 1989 had taken the chief candidate of opposition.

Let us recall that like in 1989, none of the candidates of Roger Gardes was excedeed by a member of the Caminada list.

The list of voters including 1948 registered voters number lower than 2500, it was thus necessary to elect 19 advisors.

In 1989, the abstention had been 14,18% whereas on June 11 it amounted to 16,43%, that is to say 2,25% of more.

Beaune-le-chaud knew the strongest rate of participation (87,97%), Theix taking the last place (77,89%).
