Fresh water in Berzet

After testimonys which we could collect, the fresh water would have arrived in Berzet during the years 1963, 1964 et 1965; work having lasted several years to connect all the homes to the conduits.

Let us call that electricity, it, arrived in 1925, that is to say 40 years front.

History ofthe cost of water in Berzet since 1968

Other testimonys enabled us to carry out these tables which show the trend of the cost ofwater since the sixty years.

One can break up this history in four distinct periods because the rules of calculation changed at least three times.

We could establish a graph which shows the trend of the cost of 80m3 of water, of 1968 to 2000.

Superficial analysis

One cannot easily break up the curve into 3 distinct visual zones :

1968-1975 : the cost evolves only little.
1975-1992 : the cost starts to increasein a regular way.
1992-2000 : Upon the taxes imposed by the european regulation, the curve follows a significant jump.

Nethertheless, numerically,

from 1968 to 1977, the price is multiplied by 2.
from 1977 to 1992, it is multiplied by 3.
from 1992 to 2000, it is again multiplied by 3.

During 32 years, the price was multiplied by (2x3x3)=18, (Houps!) that is to say 1800% of increase .

If one divides the price of 2000 by that of 1968, one obtaine precisely : 976,30/45=21,69 that is to say 2169% of incerase.
