Terrier of Our Lady of Beaune le chaud
Homage to Noël AUCLAIR, This Beaunois (inhabitant of Beaune), was one of the first inhabitants to be been interested by the history of our commune; He found the terrier of Beaune le chaud in the attic of a beaunoise family, and understood its historical value. He contacted the Departmental records which agrre to make a copy on microfilm of this invaluable document. He also, of his only initiative, launched a subscription among the inhabitants which made it possible to publish 7 books reproducing the contents of the burrow of Beaune le chaud whose specimen is consultable by all the Champanellois and Champanelloises at the municipal media library. He had left us for a few years but the way of safeguarding of our cultural inheritance. That he is thanked here in the name of all. Unfortunatly, at the time of the removal of the Departmental records of Puy-de-Dôme in their new buildings in Croix de Neyrat at Clermont-Ferrand, the microfilm was stray and one cannot consult any more the burrow of Beaune but thanks to the existence of the specimen given gracefully by Noël AUCLAIR to the municipal media library of Saint-Genès-Champanelle. A detailed study of the terrier of Beaune lechaud is in hand by our care and when it is completed, we will not fail to communicate our lucky finds to you. Precision : The
terrier of Beaune le chaud is a large book at the A3 format |
