| The first open school of Theix
at the time of Jules Ferry, was in the contiguous
house of the church. At the time of separation of the
state and Church in August 1905, the municipality of
Saint-Genès-Champanelle found owner of the
presbytery and transformed this one into school . It is towards 1956 that one built the last school photographed above. One drained the pond which was below to make the schoolyard, by "busant" the brook. |
