Saint - Genès - Champanelle

This parish, located on the small road of Clermont to Besse,

includes the Beaune justice system, which belongs to M. le Comte de la

Queulhe; another part depends on the land de Teix, including Madame la

marquise de Villemont is the owner: there has justice villages

Chamalières, & therefore of the spring of Clermont; but the juice-

tice of Champanelle, proper, as well as Beaune & Teix, are

from Riom. Robert, Bishop of Clermont, given in 1200,

the church of Saint-Genès-Champanelle, in the abbey of Saint-Allire.
