- Gallo-Roman period. Granite menhir surmounted of a cross, to the west of the village. There is, in this place, a chapel erected after the death of M. Benoît Gonod, scholar librarian of the city of Clermont-Ferrand, who died on February 14, 1849; his ashes rest there. In digging the foundations of this chapel, we found several tombs from the Merovingian period, some side of others. - Lords. Rolland de Montrognon had drills at Thedde, in the year 1326. Marguerite de Montrognon, his daughter, wife of Guillaume de Pagnat, possessed them in 1344. Bernard of Vincens, knight, was Lord of Thedde in 1787-1789. We owes him various works, which he published after the Revolution. he was born in the Comtat-Venaissin and died in Paris in 1811.
